Officially opening Urban 2.0, Makers' Day is a gathering of community makers: designers, entrepreneurs, artists, farmers, and the like where other makers can meet and interact.

A collaborative effort between ISHIKAWASAMBO and Yorozudaya was formed to make this event into reality. 

 

For the first Makers' Day, two vendors set up shop. Namely, Jin and Kapukapu. Jin is a new food service vendor that used the Yorozudaya kitchen car for the event.  Serving food items and organic produce from their farm, they focus on artisanal organic products.

For the indoor gallery of Urban 2.0, Kapukapu collaborated with ISHIKAWASAMBO to produce merchandise for a limited run. From animal pointillism, and caricature drawings to abstract woven art - these were translated into postcard illustrations that were sold exclusively at the event.

​

ISHIKAWASAMBO's Wonder Workshop was also held indoors alongside the art exhibit to immerse the guests in varying art forms. It focused on a fun interactive art and English program for kids while using recycled construction pieces.
