11th Makers' Day! Event Report

August 25, 2024 (Sunday)
Session 1: 10:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Session 2: 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Weather: Clear, 25-33°C

This time, we experimented with a two-part format. Session 1 was the usual Makers' Day, and Session 2 featured a beer garden.

​

Session 1 was packed with activities: poolside watermelon smashing, water games, workshops, a pet photo session, a piano concert, a marketplace, and food & drinks galore.

​

With the scorching summer sun and the last Sunday of summer break aligning, lots of kids came out to play and take on the special events: the giant pool and watermelon smashing!

​

Our new shark-themed pool was a huge hit, filling all available spots. It was a delight to see so many kids enjoying it, making all the planning worthwhile!

​

For the first time, we held a watermelon-smashing game. Wearing spooky masks and holding sticks, the children looked like adorable little devils. Eleven kids gave it a go, making a few cracks in the watermelon. In the end, an adult representative gave it one big swing to finish it off!

​

Session 2 took place in the garden and outdoor plaza, where locals enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the beer garden.

​

Thank you to everyone who came, our vendors, and all involved. We’ll work hard to make the next event just as fun, so please look forward to it!

The next event will be held on Sunday, November 24th.
