Let's journey back to the memories of Makers’ Day! #7 Midsummer Special, a day that skillfully balanced the sun and rain, turning it into a delightful challenge.

Imagine this: a morning draped in clouds, undecided on whether to linger or move on. But hold onto your hats, because those clouds transformed into a whimsical dance of sun and rain. It added an unexpected twist, creating a unique bonding experience for everyone. As seasoned organizers, we had prepared for the unpredictable weather by equipping our vendors with tents and offering ample indoor spaces. We eventually relocated them to the cozy Urban 2.0 facilities, making the whole event more enjoyable as the temperature soared to an unexpected 33 degrees Celsius amidst sporadic showers. A true midsummer surprise indeed!

Beneath the alternating sun and rain, Makers’ Day! treated us to an irresistible medley of excitement. The array of engaging hands-on workshops stole the show. Checonut’s rug tufting, Ishikawasambo's scale model crafting with their craft material buffet, La Coiffee’s paper artistry, Clew Can Badge’s dreamy craft desserts, and Asitano Sekken’s soap-making – our workshop vendors truly brought their A-game!

Speaking of our vendors, a shout out to the pros who consistently shine. Yorozudaya, Jin, and Yaoyao kept us refreshed with their iced coffee delights. Holiday Kitchen’s beloved baked goods made a triumphant return, complete with larger bread sizes. Sato-san wowed us with a diverse range of pottery, and our event's beer and food sides sold out in no time. We’d also like to warmly welcome into the vendor family: Kumano Nouen offering sweet potato iced confections, Tetoroom with their colorful sisal bags all the way from Kenya, Nomadicraft’s selection of colorful ethnic finds and botanical collection, and lastly, Atelier Pomme de Pin with their charming textile accessories while introducing Tsuna GO! Hachinoji Library for 2023.

Applause to everyone who participated, crafting and learning side by side. The artistic showcase left us in awe, as creativity and innovation converged. And let's not overlook the live music session by the classical pianist (name), where melodies gracefully swayed in the breeze, wrapping us in their harmonious embrace.

But hold up, the party isn't over! We're not just tapping the pause button, we're cranking up the volume and planning for more. The Makers' Day team is busy cooking up future events that will keep you grinning, whether you're a vendor or a visitor. So, keep those eager eyes peeled for what's brewing on our agenda!

And mark your calendars for Sunday, December 3, 2023 – that's when our next adventure takes center stage. Until then, keep those creative fires burning bright!
